Sports and Activities:

Golf:

There are 3 top quality 18 hole golf courses within easy driving distance from Tala, which are open all year round. 

Tsada Golf Course (Par 72 www.cyprusgolf.com) is the closest to the villa and can be reached by car in around 5-10 minutes.  It is situated in unique and stunning scenery, perched 1800 feet into the foothills of the Troodos Mountains, and set within the grounds of a 12^th century monastery.

Secret Valley Golf Course (Par 72 www.cyprusgolf.com) is approximately 20 minutes drive by car.  It is hidden from view amidst dramatic sculptural rock formations and dense forest, and is a beautiful course.

Aphrodite Hills Golf Course (Par 71 www.aphroditehills.com) is next to Secret Valley.  It is situated on two high plateaus with stunning views of the sea, and also has excellent practice facilities with a driving range, clubhouse and pro-shop. 

Skiing:

Skiing is usually available between January and March in the Troodos Mountains, near to Mount Olympus which is one hours drive from Paphos.  A small resort, there are 4 ski lifts and several cafes/restaurants for refreshments.  There are several cross country trails.  Ski equipment can be rented.

Scuba diving/Snorkelling:

There are many dive sites around the Cyprus coastline, several of which are in the Paphos area.  One of the most famous is a wreck known as the Zenobia, which features amongst the Top 10 dive sites in the world. 

Many of the bays and coves in the Paphos area offer excellent snorkeling, especially the beaches close to Latchi on the west of the island.

Swimming/Sunbathing:

 The most popular pastime for most visitors to Cyprus!  There are many beautiful beaches in the Paphos area, six of which has achieved European Blue Flag status. Whether you are looking for watersports to keep the children entertained  or you are looking for a quiet unspoilt beach to soak up some rays, you will be spoilt for choice!  There is also an outdoor Olympic sized swimming pool in Coral Bay.

Watersports:

These are available on the main beaches, especially in Paphos and at Coral Bay.  You can choose from paragliding, sailing, surfing, water skiing, wind surfing and fishing. Banana boat rides are also available. 

Walking/Hiking: 

There are miles and miles of waymarked paths in and around the Paphos area, both in the Akamas Peninsular National Park and in the Troodos Mountains.  There is also good walking around the Tala area.

Horse riding, Tennis and Cycling can also be enjoyed locally.
